Bruce Waltke ~ Old Testament Professor and Author of The Book of Proverbs
How wonderfully you capture and accurately present the victorious spiritual life of the Valiant Wife. In a world bombarded by inane cliches, trivial catchwords, and godless sound bites, you open up for Christian women a trove of treasures the church inherited from King Lemuel’s Mother about 2500 years ago. These are timeless truths from the heart of our unchanging, sublime Triune God. The world hates the light but by His grace we walk joyfully and confidently in it.
Carolyn Hannah ~ Advisor to Seminary Wives in Ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary
Melissa is a gifted writer, able to condense portions of Scripture into meaningful Bible lessons for women’s small groups. I met Melissa when she was a young wife of a seminary student named Eric. Although quiet at first, I had the privilege of watching her develop in both personal and spiritual growth. She was a thoughtful, knowledgeable young woman with a gift and desire to serve alongside her husband using her giftedness of writing. She developed Bible studies for our small group ministry to seminary wives that have been very helpful. Melissa has given me both joy and blessing and I wish her well as she continues to develop and use her gift for the body of Christ.
Nancy Harrell ~ Daughter of God, sister of Christ, wife of Tim, momma of Henry and Peter (Former Graduate Resident Assistant at Wheaton College)
I’ve known Melissa since we served as staff together in an undergraduate residence hall. Even then, as a college junior, Melissa’s heart for women’s growth in the Lord was evident. She served faithfully and lovingly – and she challenged the women under her care to seek the Lord through the Scriptures. While my job was to “mentor” Melissa, I found that she more often mentored me through her words and example. Even now, eight years later, I frequently recall our conversations; they continue challenge me in my ministry as wife and mother.
I’m thrilled that Melissa is moving into new territory as she disciples women through Radiant Ministries. Her practical, no-nonsense approach to following Christ and reading his Word will encourage you. Her humor and transparency will remind you that she’s a co-laborer, not a judge.
God has used Melissa powerfully in women’s lives, mine included, and I am confident he will continue his good work in and through her.
